Samba Workshops

Music Cornwall has already established a number of Samba bands across schools in Cornwall. In recent years many of these bands have had the privilege of playing at events such as the Royal Cornwall Show, Truro’s City of Lights Festival, as well as school fêtes and local carnivals.

If your school would like a Samba workshop, we would be happy to discuss this with you, and would be able to provide all the necessary equipment. Samba workshops typically run for up to 30 participants and last 90 minutes. Samba workshops can be run to culminate in a performance or can be the springboard for a regular school band. They can also be linked to cross-curricular school projects. If your school would like to establish its own samba band, Music Cornwall can arrange for Samba specialist to work with your school on a regular basis or can provide training to your school to enable them to run the band within the school.

Samba need not just be for your pupils! Samba makes a great team building activity for your staff which is enjoyable and inclusive.
