Music Cornwall is proud to present a two night extravaganza of musical talent at the Hall for Cornwall on Monday 21 May & Tuesday 22 May 2012 with performances by combined children’s choirs, instrumental ensembles and solo performances from around Cornwall.

Cornwall Youth Orchestra Give 3 Concerts Across the County

The Cornwall Youth Orchestra will be giving 3 concerts across the county over the Easter period, with performances in Launceston Town Hall on Thursday 5th April, St. John’s Hall Penzance on Friday 6th April and Truro Cathedral on Saturday 14th April.   

Annual Festival of String Workshops Hailed as a Success by Pupils and Parents Across the County

During the week beginning February 6th, area string teams from Music Cornwall once again provided a series of workshops for beginner players; with more than 280 children taking part, involving over 40 primary schools across the length and breadth of our county. 

Aeolus project at Eden on 28 September

The Aeolus project was a composition task for pupils from 2 primary schools and 1 secondary school. The project was led by the Curriculum Provision team, Christine Judge (AST teacher) Phil Montgomery-Smith (AST teacher) and Sian Pilley with support from the Music Cornwall string team quartet.

Ensembles, Choirs & Orchestras

We recognise how valuable ensemble experience can be in the development of musical skills, offering enrichment for players on both a musical and personal level. It allows players to grow in confidence and to experience team work within a musical framework which encourages achievements in both musical and social skills.
